It seems with every year I get older, my tendency to splurge becomes worse. I'm not careless with my money, though I can't say I've been completely wise about saving it. Anyway, the point is that I probably shouldn't have bought these Miu Miu platforms. I've never really been a fan of satin shoes to begin with. I'm always scared they'll scratch against something, which pretty much ruins them forever. But I completely fell in love with these shoes after seeing Rumi @fashiontoast and Jacqueline @fashionsnag feature them in their blogs. Both had bought these shoes and looked amazing in them. After much debate, I finally decided to purchase them on NET-A-PORTER this past Sunday night and got them today (props to N-A-P for the speedy delivery). I couldn't help but feel giddy after opening the package and seeing the blushed pink shoebox with a pretty black bow tied around it (I had taken more photos prior to actually opening the shoebox up until I realized I had no memory card in my camera). The shoes are simply beautiful and surprisingly very comfortable. Will I purchase another pair of satin shoes in the future? Not unless they're like these. Didn't care to take any photos of me with them on, not right now at least. I probably won't wear them til my parents' 25th wedding anniversary coming in May. The attire is ALL WHITE and I'm so excited! Expect the shoes to be paired with this beautiful dress, which is on it's way...
